Now named ProStroke Golf: World Tour 2007, its new title stems from recent worldwide success and enthusiastic receptions from select press at this year's E3, alongside definitive results from US focus testing. With a reception such as this, the publisher deemed that to ignore the results and positive feedback on the game's control mechanic, ProStroke ? would be to discount the hard work and genuine passion that had gone into its making.

This proved to the up-and-coming publisher that a generic title did not do justice to their game. With a name perfectly suited to a golf game for the European market, World Tour Golf was born. Now a golf simulation for a worldwide audience, ProStroke Golf has evolved.
