NDS' Series of Sports Games in Italy with Special World Cup Features

NDS announces that it has launched two new, innovative sports games with SKY Italia for the Italian market. Building on NDS's expertise in producing interactive television-based games for leading industry broadcasters and content providers such as BSkyB, DIRECTV, Nickelodeon and The Cartoon Network, the Company has partnered with SKY Italia to create "Kick-Off" and "Goleador" football games to cater for the Italian broadcast sports market.

"Kick-Off" immerses players in a free kick situation, with both opponents and team mates displayed on the screen. The player has the option to pass the ball to a fellow team member or shoot directly for the goal. During the 2006 World Cup, Italian fans play as the Italian team and will then face the opposing teams that Italy will be competing against in this year's World Cup. Game play increases in difficulty as the player continues to advance through each stage.

In "Goleador", players receive a pass from one of their team mates and they must shoot or head the ball into the goal in order to score points. As players progress through the game, the difficulty increases, with players facing higher-speed passes at more difficult angles and positions.
