| Eagle Eye Golf for PlayStation 2 is Coming Soon Publishing label 505 Gamestreet releases Eagle Eye Golf for PlayStation 2 on 30th June. Fly higher than a Tiger with Eagle Eye Golf - an exciting new golf simulation from developer Telenet Japan. Already awarded a dazzling '8 out of 10' score from the UK's official PlayStation 2 magazine (issue 072, May), Eagle Eye Golf is a golf simulation whose colourful and lighthearted presentation belies its considerable depth. Eagle Eye Golf uses an exciting control method that's easy enough for beginners to get to grips with, while remaining flexible enough for real pros to command the course with daring shots. Players pull the right analogue stick back to power their swing and then push the stick forward to hit the ball. Depending on the amount of power used to slam the stick, and the subtleties in direction applied by the player, the whole range of real world golfing shots may be recreated, making Eagle Eye Golf an enjoyable title as much for newbies as for pro players. Players can choose to play alone in a full tournament across multiple links, in Stroke mode for fun on just one course, in Survival and Mission modes, where players are presented with ever more outrageous challenges to beat, as well as in a comprehensive training game. For social golfers there are six multiplayer games to choose from. These include Stroke and Tournament games for the traditionalist, as well as zanier games such as the team-based Best Ball mode, where the team with the best score wins, Sudden Death mode, where the player with the most strokes at each hole is eliminated, and the saucily named 2Ball4Some mode, where two teams of two players alternate shots for the duration of the course. Eagle Eye Golf is also massively customisable. Create your hero from a range of different avatars, outfits and golfing equipment and even edit and save your own dream course using the comprehensive course designer tools. You can then challenge your friends with your own creation by trading memory cards. write your comments about the article :: © 2006 Game News :: home page |
