'Stranger' Dictates New Magic Laws

The sources of magic fields are clusters of crystals, which at the same time are resources, an object of permanent fight. The magic fields possess many of the features of other, more familiar fields, for instance electromagnetic. Their power depends on the number of crystals in the sources; they lose their power with the distance from the cluscluster of crystals. They even have different frequency, which is visualized with colors. If several colored fields intersect, they produce a region of another color according to the common rules of color mixing. But just by themselves fields do not cause any additional effects. A medium is necessary, in our case it is a magician. A character capable to sense fields and channel their energy into a magic action is a magician. And any character can master magic, in a greater or lesser degree. Each part of the spectrum has its own peculiarities. Correspondently, a magician can transform the energy of each type of the spectrum into a group of effects.

The magicians concentrated in their "hands" almost entire power and resources, magic crystals, the source of their strength and the method of its increase. Almost entire their activity, one way or another, is connected with mining of crystals. All of the conflicts, which they get involved in, are connected with the redistribution of crystals and the seizure of the places of their output. The magicians not only accumulate crystals, but also constantly improve their witchcraft skills. Their "studies" are very destructive sometimes. It is possible to find dead cities and burnt out deserts, where thing went wrong. There are lone magicians as well as magic clans - sects. Each sect determines for its followers the specific collection of rules, hierarchy and gives unique possibilities, most frequently special incantations.....
