Third Wave Games released new version of War World

The new, enhanced version of the PC game War World: Tactical Combat was released worldwide by developer Third Wave Games to coincide with Lighthouse Interactive's launch of the boxed copy of the game in Europe.

War World combines classic fast-paced first-person-shooter game play with a third-person viewpoint and active strategy components. Players control heavily armored and wickedly fast mechanized warriors, competing in head to head battles, which have already proven a hit with gamers worldwide.

The new version of War World offers players a range of new options and features, including:
- 5 classes of mech to choose from;
- 15 different weapon types including mini-guns, lasers, mortars, missiles, mines and shields;
- 9 upgrade levels for each weapon;
- 100 single player levels with 6 difficulty settings;
- 4 different Single Player game modes:Arcade, Death Match, Team Death Match & Custom;
- 4 different Multi Player game modes: Death Match, Team Death Match, Assault & Capture The Flag;
- Credit based system to allow upgrades and purchases of new mechs, weapons and systems;
- Multiple mech customization options;
- Online game play via the Internet and LAN connections for the ultimate multiplayer challenge.
