| Runestone announces beginning of beta test for Seed Runestone Game Development announced that the first beta test phase has started for Seed, the new massively multiplayer game slated for release in April 2006. At 11:00 a.m. GMT, the first 500 testers will be able to log into the colony tower of planet Da Vinci. As colonists inhabiting a rampaged, mile-high tower they will be the first to have to figure out how to ensure the survival of the colony. Keeping with the open-minded approach that Runestone Game Development has taken in discussing ideas and game details of Seed in the past, there will be no Non-Disclosure Agreement for the beta testers to sign. There is still plenty of opportunity for players to become testers, with up steadily toward launch, growing the population from the pool of beta applicants and ending with a stress test in March, where the community will be encouraged to come by the thousands to give Seed a try. Applications are being accepted at the official website.
