Climax Appoints Talented Technical Director to Spearhead

Climax announces the appointment of Julian Rex as Technical Director of its Action studio. Julian joins the company from Sony where he worked as Lead Programmer on Ghosthunter (PS2), the BAFTA award-winning Medievil2 (PS1) and most recently leading an unannounced next-gen title.

Prior to working at Sony, Julian also enjoyed a successful career at Millennium Interactive where he worked on notable hits such as Defcon 5 (PS1 & PC) and Frogger (PS1). As Technical Director, Julian takes responsibility for ensuring that the Action studio is at the frontline of technical innovation on all the new formats, including the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 consoles. In particular, he will be overseeing the technical development of Climax's exciting next generation projects including an original action game. Bringing the full weight of his many years' of experience to bear, he will be pushing the development teams to deliver revolutionary games that fully utilise the company's advanced, proprietary tools and technology.

Julian takes over the role following Chris Keegan's transfer to the Handheld studio where he will continue to push forward the company's projects.
