| GSC World Publishing enters the French market The Ukrainian publishing house GSC World Publishing has signed Focus Home Interactive to distribute the forthcoming RTS/RPG Heroes of Annihilated Empires, developed by the GSC Game World studio, in France. The game trilogy Heroes of Annihilated Empires is the first project to be published by GSC World Publishing in Europe and North America. Concurrently with the games, their novelisations are expected for release. The latter are created by Ilya Novak, recognized as the best European new writer (at Eurocon 2005 in Glasgow, UK), who also took part in the development of the games as script writer. The first episode of "Heroes of Annihilated Empires" is slated for release in 2006. GSC World Publishing is the publishing branch of the biggest Ukrainian PC games developer GSC Game World, founded in 2004. The first games released by the publishing house were Alexander, a tie-in of the Oliver Stone's movie (in 2004) and Cossacks II: Napoleonic Wars (in 2005). Both of them were released by GSC World Publishing in the territories of ex-USSR. Heroes of Annihilated Empires is the first game to be published by GSC's publishing branch outside of ex-USSR and is already singed for distribution in a number of European countries. In the nearest time, the game's distributors in North America and Russia will be announced. write your comments about the article :: © 2005 Game News :: home page |
