| Wallace and Gromit: made in Sheffield A new type of DVD game which offers home console-style graphics and gameplay on a standard DVD player will be unveiled by Sheffield-based technology company ZOO Digital Publishing this Christmas. ZOO Digital Publishing has signed an exclusive worldwide agreement with filmmaker Aardman Animations to produce an Interactive-DVD game based upon the blockbuster movie Wallace & Gromit: The Curse of the Were-Rabbit, which has already gone to number one in the US, UK, German and French box offices. The Interactive-DVD offers a family-based party game, which can be played on any DVD player. It is complex, challenging and above all fun for all ? yet does not require a dedicated and expensive home console. Using cinematic visuals and containing exclusive, never-before-seen Wallace & Gromit footage, it is a triumph for I-DVD technology which turns DVD players into games machines. The has also been signed for release in North America, marking the first time a ZOO title has been released across the Atlantic. The game is already planned for release in the UK, France, Germany, Italy, Spain, Australia and Japan though Universal Pictures. write your comments about the article :: © 2005 Game News :: home page |
