| Bad is the new Good Today's super-powered games players would rather be the villain than the hero, a recent poll conducted by computer games publisher NCsoft Europe has revealed. In a survey of over 700 computer games players, 41 per cent stated they prefer playing games as heroes, leaving 59 who prefer to wreak havoc as the bad guy. The majority of votes came from the under 20s, with a majority of 62 per cent preferring to play as the villain. Fortunately, as people mature the balance is somewhat restored, with a slightly lower 59 per cent preferring to play the villain in the 20-29 year old category, dropping to 54 per cent in the over 30s. The poll was commissioned as part of research into gaming trends during the development of PC game City of Villains, which was released last week. write your comments about the article :: © 2005 Game News :: home page |
