| InfoSpace names Alan Welsman as vice president InfoSpace, Inc. announced the appointment of Alan Welsman as vice president of European product management and marketing for InfoSpace. In this role, Welsman will be responsible for managing mobile media product and content strategy for the Company's European markets. In the past twelve months, InfoSpace has acquired two European companies and added significant talent to the team, demonstrating the Company's commitment to the region. The appointment of Welsman, along with the recent hiring of Stephen Davis as president mobile media, and Kieve Huffman as vice president content, furthers the Company's commitment to strengthening its position in North America and Europe. Mr. Welsman brings 14 years of experience to InfoSpace in a variety of entertainment-based roles. Alan most recently served as head of entertainment at Orange where he was responsible for mobile music, games, and the film and video division within the Orange group of companies. Prior to Orange, Alan was the marketing director at Speedy Tomato UK Ltd, where he was charged with the launch and promotion of Telia AB's pan-European mobile wireless portal and mobile virtual network.
