| Video Games Come to Philadelphia Lunar Tide announced that America's VideoGame Expo ? Philadelphia (VGXPO) is taking place at the Fort Washington Expo Center (in Fort Washington, PA) on November 12 & 13, 2005. The VGXPO is a "free to attended" convention that taps into the culture of video games, comic book collecting, card gaming, animation, science fiction and emerging technologies. At its heart, the VGXPO celebrates the rich history of gaming and features video games form the 70's, 80's, 90's and today. The VGXPO provides gamers with an opportunity to learn about new & classic games, emerging technologies, the history of the videogame industry, and new information on the latest in card gaming, sci-fi, comics and animation. Plans for VGXPO include tournaments, bring your computer LAN parties, Nintendo DS and Sony PSP meet ups, workshops, panels, and the first annual VGXPO Lifetime Achievement Award, presented to Ralph Baer, the "Father of Video Games". To broaden the convention's attendance base, America's VideoGame Expo partnered with NBC as host for its 2005 events. Already this year, VGXPO events in Dallas and Washington D.C. had combined attendance of over 50, 000 attendees. "NBC provides us with the abilyy to rapidly grow the expo, " said Fleming. "Our goal is to offer something for both the casual and hard-core game players ? our relationship with NBC gives us just that opportunity." America's VideoGame Expo ? Philadelphia will coincide with the NBC10 Consumer Expo on November 12 & 13 at the Fort Washington Expo Center.
