| The international geospatial event in Berlin From October 10 to 12, the exhibition halls of Berlin will be transformed into a meeting place for the user industries of geoinformation. True to their guiding principle "Inspiration for a smarter world", INTERGEO EXPO and CONFERENCE will present technologies, innovative applications and profound know-how related to geodesy, geoinformation and land management. "INTERGEO is the international stage for all those who make decisions for a sustainable future. Urban planners, climate researchers, geodesists, mobility experts, marketeers, farmers, foresters, oceanographers and many other professions base their work for a future worth living on geodata, " says Professor Dr.-Ing. Rudolf Staiger, President of DVW e.V., the event's organizer. The topics of housing, mobility, sustainability, climate change and internal security, monitoring for disaster prevention and protection, and the creation of equal living conditions are becoming increasingly important. All these areas can only develop if they are based on a reliable and fast, accessible database of spatial information. CONFERENCE - the future of geodesy and land management This year's highlight topics at the 29th edition of INTERGEO include Earth Observation, Maritime Solutions, Unmanned Systems and Building Information Modeling (BIM). The CONFERENCE will take you into the future of geodesy and land management. The three-day event will highlight topics including GIS and Artificial Intelligence, Metaverse and Cloud Applications, Earth Observation and Environmental Monitoring, Smart City, Infrastructure BIM, Digital Twins, COPERNICUS and Galileo Satellite Services, 4D Geodata, 3D Cadastre, Smart Mapping Applications, Geobasis 2030, and 3D Point Clouds. In addition to international keynote speakers, the CONFERENCE will feature panel discussions and networking events for an exchange of expertise and a live experience. German Cartography Congress As part of INTERGEO CONFERENCE, the German Cartography Congress 2023 will cover the entire, often underestimated spectrum of cartography - the lecture program will deal with topics such as atlases, map collections and map design. The organizers are also focusing on artificial intelligence, which is also finding its way into cartography. In her keynote, Professor Monika Sester will therefore also talk about "Generalization with Machine Learning Methods". This will be followed by Professor Sebastian Meier with his provocative lecture title "Critical Cartography in Times of Hallucinating Machines". EXPO - 40 Nations, Three Days, One Goal: Innovation Five exhibition halls will be completely filled with innovation. Over 560 exhibitors from more than 40 nations will present their solutions for three days. Around 100 new products and international premieres will see the light of day on the INTERGEO EXPO stage. "Many new international exhibitors and a broad presence of companies from North America and Asia will show what they have to offer. China and South Korea are represented side by side in various joint stands. They are all coming to INTERGEO as exhibitors to network with the international community. At INTERGEO, the markets of tomorrow are made in dialogue with the relevant target groups, " says Daniel Katzer, Managing Director and Trade Fair Manager of Expo organizer Hinte Expo & Conference GmbH. This year, three thematic areas bundle products and applications of the topics BIM (BIM Area), Earth Observation and Maritime Solutions. On three stages of the EXPO, a variety of exhibitors will be showcasing applications from the geospatial community. "The program ranges from Digital Cities to Mobile Mapping, Digital Twins, Sensors and Artificial Intelligence, Earth Observation, recruiting as well as presentations of young researchers, " says Katzer. Numerous renowned partners support the presentation on the highlight topics with their competence networks. DVW e.V., UAV Dach e.V. and the German Society for Photogrammetry and Remote Sensing are cooperating on the topic of Unmanned Systems. The German Aerospace Center (DLR) and the European Space Agency (ESA) are taking the lead in the area of Earth Observation, while the Federal Ministry of Economics and Climate Protection (BMWK) is involved in the topic of Maritime Solutions, along with other driving forces. The BIM Days Germany (BTD) promote interlocking and cross-sector networking in the construction industry as part of a cooperation with INTERGEO for the BIM sector. INTERGEO's core industries of geodesy, geoinformation and land management serve an increasing range of professions and applications with geospatial data and solutions - and more are being added all the time. Challenges such as the climate crisis, urbanization and securing resources can only be met with the help of spatial data. "INTERGEO provides an in-depth understanding of the entire impact chain - from collection methods using satellites, UAV, mobile mapping and GNSS to integrated spatial reference and applications in the field of climate adaptation and property security, " explains DVW President Staiger. "As the organizer, DVW is looking forward with great enthusiasm to three days of INTERGEO EXPO and CONFERENCE in Berlin. Because we bring international geo know-how to the users*. INTERGEO in Berlin is always a guarantee for success, " says Staiger. INTERGEO EXPO and CONFERENCE is the international platform for geodesy, geoinformation and land management. It takes place at changing locations in Germany. The CONFERENCE deals with current topics from politics, administration, science and industry. With its geo-IT potential, INTERGEO continues to focus on optimizing processes of growing target markets. It will be presented in Berlin in 2023, in Stuttgart in 2024 and in Frankfurt am Main in 2025. write your comments about the article :: © 2023 Exhibition News :: home page |
