Excellent number of registrations for Powtech 2022

In late summer 2022, Powtech will once again become the leading gathering for experts in powder and bulk goods technology. Following the pandemic-enforced break, many people in the industry are eagerly awaiting the next round of the leading exhibition, which is set to take place in Nuremberg from 30 August to 1 September 2022. This is reflected in the elevated level of registrations received, with more than half of the expected exhibitors having booked their stands ten months ahead of the event. The NürnbergMesse exhibition team is already starting to accommodate the location preferences of the companies that have booked their stands.

Ten months before the launch of Powtech 2022, NürnbergMesse GmbH is seeing significant interest on the part of exhibitors. A good 50 percent of the expected 700 exhibitors had already booked by the beginning of November 2021. In view of the good advance bookings, the Powtech team is now starting to allocate stands to numerous established exhibitors and some new international exhibitors. If you want to ensure an effective appearance at the next Powtech and reach a broad target group from the chemical, pharmaceutical, food, glass and ceramic, plastics, recycling and non-metallic minerals sectors, you need to act now and book your stand.

New date in late summer
The vendors of mechanical processing technology and analysis equipment have made intensive use of their time over the last couple of years dominated by pandemic-induced restrictions. Visitors to Powtech 2022 can expect to see a wealth of innovations in technologies for the processing of powders, granulates and bulk solids at the Nuremberg exhibition grounds. This, along with the prospect of finally being able to talk and network in person again after an extended period defined by virtual gatherings, will ensure a high level of support for Powtech 2022. The choice of dates, from 30 August to 1 September 2022, is also a factor. The high concentration of events in the spring of 2022 motivated the organisers to move the next Powtech to late summer. This will allow the fair to turbocharge year-end business for exhibitors and provide visitors with inspiration for their planning for the following year. The fair after that will be held in line with its usual schedule in the autumn, from 26 – 28 September 2023, in conjunction with the PARTEC congress.

Digital transition supports trend towards climate neutrality
Powtech 2022 will be characterised by the latest megatrends, particularly the process of transitioning to climate-neutral production within the framework of a functioning circular economy. In this context, numerous experts underline the key role played by the mechanical engineering industry in Germany and other European countries. Through its sustainable developments, it is guiding and supporting its customer segments during the period of transition, which is defined by increasingly higher production efficiency with reduced energy consumption and the shift to renewable energies. Within this framework, manufacturers of mechanical processing technology are evolving into solution providers that are turning digital transformation into reality. As well as machines and flexible modules, they are also providing smart tools and services that help users achieve their goals, for example through the monitoring and optimisation of effectiveness indicators, preventive maintenance, or by reducing the use of energy and other valuable resources. In this environment, analysis and process analytical technologies, which have played a significant role at Powtech for many years, are also becoming even more important. In addition, the industry can demonstrate the contributions it is already capable of making to the production of energy storage systems. Because the volatility of carbon-neutral energy generation and electric mobility are going to cause demand for storage options, e.g., using batteries, to rise rapidly worldwide.

Good order books, but materials in short supply
The exhibitor segments participating in Powtech are facing these challenges in what is a tense market environment. The order situation is likely to resemble the positive developments of the second and third quarters of 2021. However, delivery delays for materials and starting components are currently causing problems that could hinder production and put a damper on the good economic outlook following the pandemic-induced slump. In any case, the green and digital transition is demanding a lot of the mechanical engineering sector.
