| Powtech Virtual Talks and IPB China bridge the gap until next trade fair in 2022 Until the trade fair launches in 2022, Powtech is offering a regular webinar programme in the form of its "Virtual Talks". The topics for the forthcoming rounds of Virtual Talks have been finalised, so powder and bulk solids experts can look forward to discussions on matters like additive manufacturing and accompanying processes, filling and packaging bulk solids, or bulk solids and the environment. Whereas most of the world is still dependent on virtual dialogue formats, the Chinese professional bulk solids community is set to meet at an on-site event. At IPB China from 28-30 July 2021, around 200 exhibitors will showcase their solutions at the Shanghai World Expo Exhibition & Convention Center. But there is a way to facilitate professional dialogue online. For the past year now, the webinar series Powtech Virtual Talks has offered a platform for international dialogue between powder and bulk solids experts. Each round of the Virtual Talks brings together three experts representing longstanding Powtech exhibitors or end-users to discuss a specific topic. Each speaker has 15 minutes for their presentation, followed by another 15 minutes of discussion with the audience. Regularly attracting between 150 and 200 participants from all around the world, who make the most of the Q&A sessions for direct interaction, the Powtech Virtual Talks in English have become a popular meeting place for professional knowledge-sharing. Since May 2020, a total of 1,167 participants have signed up for the Virtual Talks. Claudia Bartl, Head of Sales & Marketing at SGH Schüttguthandling GmbH & Co. KG, sees this as a way of bridging the gap until the next trade fair: "The Powtech Virtual Talks are lively online meetings, engagingly moderated and with excellent speakers on board. It is a pleasure to be there and to see and hear something new again. It's where experts and end-users can meet as equals to enjoy lots of questions, discussions and knowledge-sharing. It's just like the on-site Powtech event that we know and love and are already looking forward to." The Powtech Virtual Talks take place at monthly or two-monthly intervals and explore various key topics. This allows for discussion of a wide range of application scenarios, from powder and bulk solids technology to non-metallic minerals (pit and quarry segment) and life sciences. Overview of topics for the next six months: • 15 June 2021: Materials, preparation & handling for metal 3D printing • July 2021: Non-metallic minerals (pit and quarry) • September 2021: Pharmaceutical applications • November 2021: Filling and packaging of bulk solids • January 2022: Bulk solids and the environment IPB China 2021 expecting around 10,000 visitors Whereas in many countries the focus is still on digital dialogue formats due to the pandemic, IPB China will be able to take place as usual this summer in the Shanghai World Expo Exhibition & Convention Center. Powder and bulk solids experts from a wide range of industries and from all over China will gather here from 28 to 30 July 2021. Organiser NürnbergMesse China is expecting around 200 exhibitors and some 10,000 visitors from sectors like chemicals, pharmaceuticals, food, energy and non-metallic minerals (pit and quarry). Exhibitors can still book a stand until 1 July 2021. The trade fair will be accompanied by a diverse lecture and congress programme. Powtech 2022: early bird rates end on 10 October If you want to exhibit at the next Powtech in Nuremberg you should note the date 1 October 2021 in your calendar, because that's when the early bird discount for the trade fair will end. The next Powtech will take place from 30 August to 1 September 2022. Beate Fischer, Director Powtech at NürnbergMesse, holds out the prospect of an on-site event on these dates that will have all the usual dynamism: "It is simply part of the Powtech experience to be able to check out a wide range of machines in the exhibition halls, meet people, and gather a lot of impressions at the exhibition stands and in the supporting programme. We are confident that the next Powtech will start in late summer 2022 with many outstanding innovations and all the usual hustle and bustle in the exhibition halls. At the same time, we are going to take advantage of digital services to expand our programme before, during and after the trade fair." Powtech World is a global network of trade fairs and conferences for mechanical processing technology. As well as Powtech and PARTEC in Nuremberg, the IPB China in Shanghai is also part of Powtech World. write your comments about the article :: © 2021 Exhibition News :: home page |
