| Fensterbau Frontale and Holz-Handwerk will not take place in 2020 Against the background of the continuing corona pandemic and its effects on the world economy, NürnbergMesse has decided, in agreement with the Department of Environment and Health of the City of Nürnberg, not to hold Fensterbau Frontale in conjunction with Holz-Handwerk in 2020. The uncertain situation is leading to a declining willingness to invest also in the woodworking industry and in window, door and facade construction, combined with declining sales and production stops. At the same time, limited business activity due to official orders and international travel restrictions in many places make it difficult for trade fair participants to plan and prepare for their participation. "We would like to express our sincere thanks for the numerous trusting and constructive discussions with industry representatives over the past few days, who have supported us in our decision-making process. Our goal of creating a special experience for exhibitors and visitors with the events Fensterbau Frontale and Holz-Handwerk and enabling the varied establishment and expansion of business relations cannot be realized under the influence of the Corona crisis, " says Petra Wolf, Member of the Management Board of NürnbergMesse. Over 1, 300 exhibitors from 42 countries and more than 110,000 visitors from well over 100 countries were originally expected at Fensterbau Frontale and Holz-Handwerk 2020. Due to the increased spread of the corona virus, NürnbergMesse had initially postponed Fensterbau Frontale and Holz-Handwerk from March to June 2020. "Of course we are sad that Fensterbau Frontale and Holz-Handwerk cannot take place, " adds Elke Harreiß, Director Fensterbau Frontale. "For our exhibitors and visitors we would have liked to hold the fairs on an alternative date in 2020. However, the dynamic developments around the corona pandemic ultimately necessitate the decision to cancel, which is being taken in close coordination with the Department of Environment and Health of the City of Nürnberg." "The need for information and exchange will be greater than ever after this crisis, " says Stefan Dittrich, Director of Holz-Handwerk. "Fensterbau Frontale and Holz-Handwerk, as leading trade fairs, will continue to offer the sectors orientation and remain platforms for business success. That is why we are now looking ahead and setting the course for 2022, and we are convinced that nothing can replace personal contact in the business world either." Fensterbau Frontale and Holz-Handwerk will take place again from 29 March to 1 April 2022 as scheduled according to the biennial rotation. write your comments about the article :: © 2020 Exhibition News :: home page |
