| ConMin West Africa and National Mining Summit in Nigeria to be suspended The organizers IMAG GmbH and Afrocet Montgomery announce that the ConMin West Africa, international trade fair for construction machinery and mining, and the co-located National Mining Summit, both planned for September 2018, will be cancelled for the foreseeable future. The reason is the Nigerian Ministry for Mines and Steel Development eventually is not able to support the National Mining Summit as official partner of the conference as expected. Since this support would have been essential for a successful running of the summit which in turn plays an integral role for the trade fair, it was decided to pause both events. At the moment the organizers are not able to confirm a date for the regular continuation of the trade fair yet. However, both of them will adhere to the concept as the event has proved itself in the previous year and met with a very positive response from exhibitors and professional visitors. Besides, Nigeria stays one of the most promising global markets holding long-term potential for the construction and mining industries. Africa's biggest national economy plans massive investments to mine their considerable deposits of natural gas and coal as well as several large-scale construction projects for housing and infrastructure. write your comments about the article :: © 2018 Exhibition News :: home page |
