| Atkins and SNC-Lavalin to showcase oil and gas capabilities and digital innovation at ADIPEC Abu Dhabi 2017 Digital innovation and pushing the boundaries of design in the oil and gas industry in the Middle East and Africa region will be set out as Atkins co-exhibits with SNC-Lavalin at Abu Dhabi International Petroleum Exhibition and Conference (ADIPEC) in Abu Dhabi from 13 to 16 November. The combined oil and gas teams will present a range of topics, including consultancy services, structural detailed design of onshore and offshore facilities, asset management, and operational support, and a series of regional case studies. They will also be demonstrating a Virtual Realty (VR) oil and gas topside platform as part of the digital scanning and immersive visualisation capabilities. This is the innovative digital engineering offering that can be applied across all parts of a project's lifecycle to provide efficient and cost effective solutions. It combines techniques of Reality Capture and Visualisation with engineering; by generating accurate 3D environments through data capture (via laser scanning, photogrammetry, LIDAR, etc.), using these environments to solve engineering problems, then visualising the unique outputs through interactive documentation, animations, Augmented Reality (AR) and Virtual Reality (VR). A technical presentation, 'QRA Ruleset for the Sour Pipelines of the Kashagan Field', will also be delivered by Atkins' principal engineer, Athena Scaperdas at 11am on 15 November. ADIPEC is the largest regional exhibition and conference focusing on oil and gas, and this year it is being held under the theme, 'Strategies for the new energy landscape'. Over 2000 companies will be providing technologically innovative solutions, capabilities and skills across the upstream supply chain. The conference includes over 700 speakers sharing extensive global expertise. write your comments about the article :: © 2017 Exhibition News :: home page |
