| Trade fair a highlight for wood and window experts From 16 to 19 March 2016, wood and window professionals from all over the world will gather in Nuremberg for the combined Fensterbau Frontale and Holz-Handwerk exhibition. Every two years, the joint event showcases trends and innovations in woodworking and wood processing and in window, door and facade construction. The 1,294 exhibitors from 39 countries will once again create a unique information forum for the participating sectors. As at previous events, more than 100,000 trade visitors are expected to flock to Exhibition Centre Nuremberg. At Fensterbau Frontale 2016, safety and quality take centre stage Every two years, Fensterbau Frontale provides insights into the latest developments and a perspective on those that will shape the sector in the future. Window and facade manufacturers, carpenters, architects and suppliers come to this event to find out about the latest profile systems, hardware, structural elements, glass in architecture, fixing technology, window security and shading technology, machinery and equipment and much more besides. "Industry professionals from all over the world can once again look forward to a high-quality exhibition with lots of innovative products. At the exhibition stands, visitors will encounter topics like energy efficiency and sustainability, automation and comfort, but also design and aesthetics, " reveals Elke Harreiß, Exhibition Director for Fensterbau Frontale at NürnbergMesse. The comprehensive supporting programme also explores current trends. For example, the theme of this year's special show by the ift (Institute for Window Technology) Rosenheim, the GFF (Glass, Window and Facade Association) Baden-Württemberg and NürnbergMesse is safety, security and quality as key innovation drivers in window manufacturing. "In the special display area featuring interactive, hands-on demonstrations, visitors can find out what the window sector in particular can do to help prevent break-ins, " adds Elke Harreiß. The 8th Architecture-Window-Facade Forum entitled "Striving for Simplicity in Architecture and Technology", and the Innovation Award for Architecture + Window Door Facade, however, are directed specifically towards architects and building designers as a means of providing fresh inspiration for their future work. Holz-Handwerk 2016: the hands-on showcase for the tools of the trade For the 18th time, the fully booked European trade fair for woodworking machinery, equipment and supplies offers an extensive range of products for the woodworking and wood processing trade, providing important inspiration for carpenters, joiners and cabinetmakers from central Europe. Exhibitors and visitors alike benefit from Nuremberg's location at the heart of Europe's unique concentration of woodworking establishments. "The dynamic, hands-on feel of Holz-Handwerk, with its live machinery demonstrations and woodchips in the air, promises a truly unique trade fair experience. Another attractive feature is the combination with Fensterbau Frontale, which results from the dovetailing of the various sectors, " says Stefan Dittrich, Exhibition Director for Holz-Handwerk at NürnbergMesse. Not only does Holz-Handwerk offer industry professionals a comprehensive range of products, it also provides a programme that reflects a lot of the issues of concern to the sector. For example, the newly created Holz-Handwerk Campus is a response to the lack of skilled professionals in the sector. The dedicated forum of leading technical and vocational colleges and academic institutions is a point of contact for recruits to the industry and provides information about opportunities for training and ongoing skills development. The event also offers a lot of inspiration for creativity in the daily work routine: "Be sure not to miss the special show 'DesignObjekt – ObjektDesign' by the Bavarian Carpentry Association (FSH). In keeping with the 'Colour & Light' theme, you will enjoy an interactive information platform offering practical advice, " continues Dittrich. New app makes planning your visit a breeze For the first time, visitors to Fensterbau Frontale and Holz-Handwerk can download an app for iOS und android to get information in advance about exhibitors and products and create a wish list. The apps then make it easier to navigate the event on site thanks to a dynamic floor plan and push notifications if there are changes to anything in your personal wish list.
