| International sector gathering IMEX America 2015 As in previous years, Messe Frankfurt will be present at IMEX America, which is to be held in Las Vegas from 13 to 15 October 2015. Here, the company will be promoting its facilities in Frankfurt as a first-class trade fair and congress destination in the heart of Europe. Uwe Behm, Member of the Executive Board of Messe Frankfurt: "Messe Frankfurt is a strong partner for organisers of all types of events. Every year, around 270 trade fairs, congresses, conferences and other events are held in Frankfurt am Main and IMEX America will allow us to present our extensive range of services to a wide cross section of sector players from the North American and international markets." IMEX America's parent event in Frankfurt am Main is not only the leading event in the MICE sector, but has been one of the top guest events at the Frankfurt base for over a decade. As well as Messe Frankfurt Group events, the exhibition grounds play host to prominent international guest events. These include for example traditional events such as the International Motor Show (Cars) and the Frankfurt Book Fair. The Messe Frankfurt calendar includes events such as the International Supercomputing Conference (ISC) – the world's oldest and Europe's most important conference and networking event for High-Performance Computing (HPC) – as well as the GBTA Conference 2015 and the twice-yearly CFA exam. In 2016, the Asian Development Bank will be holding its annual meeting on the Messe Frankfurt exhibition grounds. This means that this four-day general members meeting, with over 5,000 participants and government representatives from 67 member states expected to attend, is to take place in Europe again in 2016 after being based in Asia for seven years. 2014 was an extremely successful year for the city of Frankfurt am Main as a destination for conference and convention, with the highest number of events to date. Financial and business centre Frankfurt can be reached quickly and easily from all over the world, thanks to its central location with excellent international transport connections and one of the world's largest airports. The Messe Frankfurt grounds meet the most important requirements for trade fairs, special events, conferences, congresses and concerts.
