Exponential increases at Automechanika Shanghai 2015 in new, larger venue

The 2015 edition of Automechanika Shanghai, Asia's largest trade fair for automotive parts, accessories, equipment and services, will be held 2 – 5 December 2015 at the new location, National Exhibition and Convention Center, Puxi, Shanghai. The expanded venue will accommodate the huge jump in growth and house the 290,000 sqm exhibition space, which is an extraordinary increase of 32 percent from 2014.

In addition to increased exhibition area, the number of worldwide exhibitors is also expected to increase to approximately 5,300 – a boost of 8 percent. The success of the show has attracted exhibitors including new industry-leading brands and more names from local automotive parts production bases. Exhibitors also include those from highly favourable and enterprising second- and third-tier provinces including Hunan, Sichuan, Jiangxi and Hebei. The increase in high-quality exhibitors has attracted a lucrative visitor base, with numbers expected to reach 100,000 this year, an impressive increase of 12 percent from last edition.

Representing the show organiser, Mr Jason Cao, Chairman of the Board of Management, Messe Frankfurt (Shanghai) Co Ltd said: "Automechanika Shanghai has built its reputation as the acclaimed 'must-attend' industry event for information exchange, marketing, trading and education, serving the scope of the automotive industry. Due to the immense continued growth of the show, the new locale will not only bring a broadened opportunity for sourcing products, but also fresh ideas and action plans. This year's show will continue to highlight a dynamic, fast-paced development in the flourishing field of automotive parts, accessories, equipment and services. In addition, buyers will see more distinguishing product zones and categories including electronic, connectivity and environmentally friendly products."

Automechanika Shanghai has made a name for itself after many years of development, advancement and dedication to the industry since its establishment in 2004. It's built an international reputation as a major industry platform. The show is organised by Messe Frankfurt (Shanghai) Co Ltd, a subsidiary of Messe Frankfurt Exhibition GmbH, one of Europe's oldest and largest trade fair organisers, and the China National Automotive Industry International Corporation (CNAICO), is an integrated state-owned enterprise specialising in international trade and exhibitions, with diversified operations across industries in China. As a result of Messe Frankfurt and CNAICO's robust worldwide resources and vast network, Automechanika Shanghai receives strong support from more than 50 local and overseas trade associations and government agencies.

Regarding the Automechanika Shanghai fair and the cooperation between organisers, Mr Hang Xiaojun, General Manager of CNAICO, said: "The partnership our two entities have enjoyed has proven to be fruitful for the industry and the widening market. The effort extended into second- and third-tier Chinese cities, where growth potential is huge, will result in greater prospective markets for both exhibitors and visitors of Automechanika Shanghai."
