| Exhibitor Record at the Intec and Z The trade fairs Intec and Z form the most important platform taking place for the metal-processing industry in Germany from February 24 to 27, 2015. In doing so, the trade fair duo continues their growth course. This year, the Intec and Z will have more than 1,400 exhibitors from 32 countries on hand. Both the percentage of exhibitors from Germany's largest machine manufacturing centers and the number of international companies participating have continued to increase. "Intec and Z reflect the productivity and capabilities of the metal-processing industry and the subcontracting segment and also serve this year as the key pacesetter for the entire industry. In this manner, they emphasize their position as outstanding flagship trade shows of the Leipziger Messe, " explains Markus Geisenberger, Managing Director of Leipziger Messe. At the Intec and Z, you will find prominent companies from every key machine manufacturing center in Germany, including internationally active corporations, innovative small to medium-sized enterprises and qualified specialists. Never before have we anticipated so many German and international exhibitors at the Intec and Z. The percentage of foreign exhibitors makes up 10% at the Intec, whereby companies from Switzerland, Italy and Austria represent the leading group of participating countries (altogether 25). At the Z - Subcontracting Fair, Poland, Czech Republic and Italy lead the group of international exhibitors, accounting altogether for about one-third of the exhibiting companies. Newcomers this year include a group of companies from the Danish CFU Center for Subcontractors and Suppliers. Moreover, high-ranking international business delegations are also expected in Leipzig. That includes, for instance, representatives from economically strong regions in Russia like Nizhni Novgorod, Chelyabinsk, Vologda, and Buryatia. A St. Petersburg-based delegation representing the Russian National Association of Automotive Component Manufacturers "NAPAK" has also registered with about 20 representatives from the Russian automotive component industry. Cooperation meetings with industry stakeholders from Poland and Turkey are other examples of the professional international exchange of experience and the successful networking activities available to exhibitors Trade fair combination offers an extensive range for the industry At the Intec, exhibitors cover the entire spectrum of production technologies for metal processing, spanning machine tools and precision tools as well as measuring and testing equipment through to complete automation solutions for production. Trade visitors will find the largest offering thus far of machinery, tools, technologies and services. About 1, 050 companies will be on hand this year presenting their products and services in the fully booked exhibition halls. The winners of the prestigious Intec Award 2015 will be announced the evening before the Intec and Z open their doors during the official opening ceremony. All exhibitors of the Intec were invited in the run-up to the trade fair to submit their innovations. The Intec Young Talent Award, which will also be awarded during the opening ceremony, focuses on the younger generation in companies, universities, as well as educational and research institutes. The Z - Subcontracting is the competent partner for the industry when it comes to specializing in innovative and flexible supply services. Approx. 400 companies will present themselves as capable suppliers for the vehicle industry, machinery and plant construction segment as well as other industrial areas such as plastics technology and processing, railed vehicle manufacture, medical technology, agricultural machinery, aviation, power plant construction and optical industry. In addition to that, the Z highlights the creative ideas of suppliers within the framework of its Innovation Show. Here exhibitors will display innovative products, processes and services at a specially designated area. Visitors can expect to see contributions for the processing of metal and plastic components, and surfaces as well as for joining systems, filtering and vacuum technologies. A panel of experts has been selected to evaluate the submitted innovations. The three best entries will be distinguished on February 23 during the opening ceremony in the Congress Center Leipzig (CCL). Besides the extensive and fascinating range of state-of-the-art technologies and innovations on display at the stands of exhibitors, the Intec and Z offer a comprehensive supporting program of specialized events that covers topics of hot discussion in the industry. "This offers, in addition to day-to-day business, a wide variety of opportunities for meeting with colleagues, obtaining inside expert information or cultivating new business contacts, " says Kersten Bunke-Njengué, Project Director of Intec and Z. Innovative exhibits One highlight is the special exhibit on "Fiber Reinforced Composites en route to Serial Production." On an area of about 400 sq. m, 20 exhibitors will highlight the current state by displaying impressive exhibits and projects for the production, use and processing of composites in series. A specialized forum that is directly integrated in the exhibition area will emphasize and focus on the current state of development with interesting presentations by recognized experts in the field. For the first time, trade fair visitors in Leipzig can experience the Lean Factory Training Center and get an idea of production based completely on lean principles. A variety of products will be manufactured in a live demonstration on a mixed-model production line that will be set up in Hall 4. The simulation encompasses prefabrication and integration of suppliers. The Lean Factory Training Centers offer a workshop that also facilitates the transfer of knowledge relating to all Lean topics. Specialized program: Focus on current industry topics The event launching the conference program that takes place parallel to the trade fairs encompasses the event series that concentrates on resource-efficient production. As part of the now 4th iteration of the Conference on "Resource-efficient Production" of the production-oriented institutes in the Fraunhofer-Verbund Produktion, prominent politicians, scientists and industry representatives will be on hand to discuss what's new in production engineering with focus on the energy transition, best-practice solutions, trends and technical innovations under the title "E³ Production - Solutions for Production Technology of the Future". Two events have also been organized to specifically cover generative production processes. An intensive program is thus offered highlighting the current state of application-oriented use of generative production. Leading scientists, experienced service providers, dedicated AM system manufacturers and process users have been invited to share integrated and industry-related information with exhibitors in speed dating form. This topic is also covered by the "Generative Production Technologies - Industrial 3D Printing Offers New Opportunities for Innovative Products and Their Production" workshop. It points out possibilities and opportunities for using generative production processes in everyday business and production. In addition to highlighting already established applications, the workshop will attempt to provide a realistic outlook of the future of generative manufacturing techniques and their prospective industrial applications. Even the Intec's and Z's exhibitor forum in Hall 2 focuses on the dissemination of relevant information and experience. Besides the presentations given by exhibitors on a wide variety of topics, the block of presentations entitled "Trends in Automation - Industry 4.0." with topics such as "Self-sufficient, Smart Sensor Networks in Production“ or also "Virtual Technologies for the Factory of Tomorrow" provides an overview of the major changes that are to be expected in production. Another permanent fixture in the specialized program is the international cooperation exchange CONTACT: Business Meetings, which is carried out by Saxon partners of the Enterprise Europe Network during the first two days of the trade fairs. At the same time, the Leipzig Chamber of Industry and Commerce invites both German and international participants to mark the end of the first day of CONTACT to the International Evening Get-together "Business Partners in Dialogue" to further the professional exchange of ideas. On February 27, prospective business managers, engineers, computer specialists and scientists will have the opportunity to meet and talk with potential employers. On Students' Day, the VEMASinnovativ - Innovationsverbund Maschinenbau Sachsen organizes together with the Leipziger Messe the 5th iteration of its platform for facilitating contact between companies and upcoming professionals and specialists. A major part of the event is the job fair, which has already attracted more than 25 companies who will be on hand to address questions from interested parties and highlight their offerings. In addition to that, students in college, high school and vocational training programs can experience the entire range of possible jobs in the metal-processing industry or different supply segments. write your comments about the article :: © 2015 Exhibition News :: home page |
