| Cleanzone 2014 continues to grow With 61 exhibitors (2013: 50 exhibitors) and 30 percent more exhibition space booked, Cleanzone – the international trade fair and congress for cleanroom technology – is continuing to grow. Ruth Lorenz, Vice President Technology & Production at Messe Frankfurt, explains: "Semiconductors, pharmaceuticals, cosmetics and food are now produced under cleanroom conditions around the globe. As a result, there is an urgent need for an international, interdisciplinary trade fair like Cleanzone where people from around the world can find out about innovations and standards and exchange ideas with colleagues." German exhibitors will be joined by companies from such places as Great Britain, Austria, Switzerland, the Netherlands, Belgium, France, Slovenia and Portugal at the trade fair on 21 and 22 October 2014 in Frankfurt am Main. In 2013, around 30 percent of trade visitors came from outside Germany. Lorenz: "Cleanzone's product range has also grown, and we have been able to draw additional market leaders in a number of areas. One of the reasons for this is the fact that we have done a good job of leveraging the synergies with our leading technology trade fairs such as ISH, Light + Building, Texcare and IFFA that share common requirements with Cleanzone on either the exhibitor or visitor side." Market leaders such as Becker Reinraumtechnik, Contec, Dorfner, Merck, Nitritex, Schülke & Mayr and Trox will be exhibiting at Cleanzone for the first time this year, while returning exhibitors include Assa Abloy, Basan, Cleanroom Competence, Daldrop + Dr.Ing.Huber, Deerns, Dycem, Ecolab, Particle Measuring Systems, Profi-con, Spetec, Viessmann and Weiss. There has been a tremendous response to the Cleanzone Congress, which is being divided into 'Basic' and 'Advanced' presentations for the first time this year. Ruth Lorenz explains the new concept: "The 'Basic' modules in the morning offer newcomers to cleanroom technology a solid foundation, while the scientific and academic presentations taking place in the afternoon will be providing an international transfer of knowledge at an expert level." For those who are faced for the first time with the need to plan a cleanroom, the 'Basic' modules will provide them with a foundation in the planning, construction, validation, classification and operation of a cleanroom. The presentations for experts will be tackling such topics as the challenges posed by pioneering technologies like organic light-emitting diodes (OLEDs) and microelectromechanical systems (MEMS) for cleanroom production. In addition, experts will be presenting ways in which energy efficiency can be increased, highly automated production can be monitored and disinfection can be carried out more efficiently. As Cleanzone's content partner, ReinraumAkademie (Leipzig) has played a key role in creating the congress programme. Highlights of Cleanzone's complementary programme include the presentation of the Cleanroom Award and the "Cleanzone Plaza" event stage. The award, which is given by ReinraumAkademie, honours products that are notable for their outstanding innovation and efficiency. Cleanzone visitors and exhibitors will be choosing the winner from the five innovations selected as finalists by a jury of experts. At Cleanzone Plaza located at the heart of the trade fair, experts will be exploring topics such as industry newcomers, supplier selection and starting cleanroom production in high-powered panel discussions, while exhibitors will be offering attractive presentations highlighting the benefits of their innovative products. write your comments about the article :: © 2014 Exhibition News :: home page |
