| Ninth edition of Beautyworld Japan West starts Beautyworld Japan West, the key trade fair for western Japan's beauty industry, opens its doors on 20 October 2014, at INTEX Osaka. This year, a record-breaking 217 exhibitors from Belgium, China, Japan, Korea and Thailand are showcasing the latest products, services, techniques and information related to the fields of cosmetics, aesthetics and nails as well as beauty equipment for salons, healing, diet and medical care at the three-day show. The number of international exhibitors increased greatly to 20 from four countries this year, including the debut of the Korean Pavilion organised by the Korea Trade-Investment Promotion Agency. (2013: five companies from four countries) In response to this strong increase, the organiser decided to implement the new 'Business Matching Programme' only for international exhibitors, inviting decision-making buyers from the industry to connect with these suppliers. This year the venue is divided into two large areas: the "Salon Business Area" and the "Retail Business Area". The Salon Business Area targets cosmetic products for professional use, beauty and spa equipment, and other related services, while the Retail Business Area showcases a range of products for retailers. The Salon Business Area is further divided into four zones, based on product and service categories: Cosmetics, Beauty equipment, Nails as well as Eyelashes. The categorised areas and zones enable both visitors and exhibitors to find their targets easily within the venue. The popular "Main Stage Seminars" return with a new line-up of practical topics for salon owners, beauticians, aestheticians and buyers from retail businesses, all conducted by leading speakers from the industry.
