| International sector gathering IMEX America 2014 Between 14 and 16 October, Messe Frankfurt will be presenting itself at IMEX America in Las Vegas as part of the German joint stand. Together with Tourismus+Congress GmbH Frankfurt am Main, the Group will be promoting Frankfurt/Rhine-Main as a first-class trade fair and congress destination in the heart of Europe. Every year, around 400 trade fairs, congresses, conferences and other events are held in Frankfurt am Main. As well as Messe Frankfurt Group events, the exhibition grounds play host to prominent international guest events. These include for example traditional events such as the International Motor Show (Cars) and the Frankfurt Book Fair. At the same time, it has attracted new events such as COSMETICA Frankfurt, Trade Fair for Beauty, Nail Design and Foot Care, the FI-Kongress management forum for IT service provider Finanz Informatik, and pulp and paper industry platform Zellcheming Expo. Other highlights included international pharmaceutical industry fair CPhI Worldwide, EWEA Offshore, the largest event for the offshore wind energy sector, and the XX WKA World Congress on Safety and Health at Work 2014, Global Forum for Prevention. The combination of international world congress, trade fair with 40, 000 mē of exhibition space and national specialist convention is unique. "See you in Germany at IMEX in Frankfurt" is the slogan of the joint trade fair activities in the USA. The IMEX parent event in Frankfurt is not only the leading event in the MICE sector, but has been one of the top guest events at the Frankfurt base for eleven years. In the past, the cooperation between the City of Frankfurt, the Frankfurt Convention Bureau and Messe Frankfurt has proven highly productive. With the Kap Europa congress centre Messe Frankfurt's new location in Frankfurt's Europaviertel district, right next to the exhibition grounds and the new Skyline Plaza shopping centre it has significantly increased the flexibility of its facilities. With its striking structure, Kap Europa is a towering 33 metres in height and houses up to 2,400 people in total. A central location with excellent international transport connections via one of the world's largest airports, an extensive portfolio of floor space and services for events of all sizes and around 8,000 hotel rooms within walking distance of the exhibition grounds the ideal conditions for exhibitors and visitors alike.
