The fair, which runs from 19 to 21 March, will be held in halls 1D & E of the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre. Over 220 exhibitors will showcase a broader range of fashionable, functional and eco fabrics and garment accessories this year. The four well-received country and region pavilions from China, Japan, Korea and Taiwan will be featured again, while the first two increase in size by 13% in total. Moreover, the Accessories Zone will see a larger presence of new exhibitors, offering visitors a wider selection of products. Ideal place to learn about upcoming trends and advanced technologies Other than providing the latest prestigious fabrics, the fair is well-known for providing insights into the upcoming fashion trends and advanced technologies. The Fabrics to Fashion Walk – a series of fashion parades – will feature nine up-and-coming designers from Hong Kong, Macau and Taiwan this year. The first catwalk show, 'Spotlight on Hong Kong', will feature Hong Kong designers and brands, including Binar by Erik Cheung, Kenax Leung, Losting by Ostin Lo, SKETCHΔROUND and WH. 'Snapshot of Macau and Taiwan', the second fashion parade where creative works from Estawom, L.A.C.Y. and Worker Playground will come to life under the spotlight, is co-organised by the Macau Productivity and Technology Transfer Centre and the Taiwan Textile Federation. MODÈLE de PRUDENCE will be featured alone in the third parade: 'Harmony & Conflict by MODÈLE de PRUDENCE'. Further design and trend inspirations can be found in the Design and Trends seminars on day one, hosted by well-known experts from some of the leading trend forecasters in the world. The seminars will cover megatrends, menswear and womenswear trends, and fashion trend applications in the Mainland China market. Speakers of the Innovation Technology seminars on day two come from foremost fibre suppliers, such as Lenzing Fibers (Hong Kong) Ltd and Bayer MaterialScience, and will share their practical experience with the audience. Visitors can also gain a sense of how to integrate the most advanced technologies into textiles in the Research and Education Zone, where special displays and fabric samples can be found. For those who are keen on learning how to minimise waste in fashion designs, the Designers' Studio – where award-winning outfits from the EcoChic Design Awards will be featured – is the ideal place to visit, . write your comments about the article :: © 2014 Exhibition News :: home page |
