NürnbergMesse Group announces new Director Corporate Communication

With effect from 1 April, Dr. Thomas Koch (37) takes over as director of the corporate communication team at the NürnbergMesse Group. In this newly created position, which also incorporates the existing function of press spokesman, Koch reports directly to the two CEOs, Dr. Roland Fleck and Peter Ottmann. His field of responsibility covers both the public image of NürnbergMesse and internal communication.

After working for more than six years in Lower Bavaria, Dr. Thomas Koch returns home to Franconia on 1 April. Koch has been employed as Divisional Director of "Vocational Training" at the Lower Bavarian Chamber of Commerce since 2010. Prior to this he acquired valuable experience as press spokesman for the Chamber of Commerce from 2007 until 2010.

After studying at the Faculty of Economics and Social Sciences at the University of Erlangen-Nürnberg and the University of Strasbourg, Koch completed his doctorate in media law. He worked as scientific assistant at this time and later as lecturer on communication sciences at the University of Erlangen-Nürnberg and the University of Passau.
