Couturiers, pop titan and star designers - Heimtextil welcomes celebrity guests

Heimtextil can now boast yet another high-profile celebrity feature: the international trade fair for home and contract textiles will be welcoming representatives from the world of show business. Pop titan, Dieter Bohlen, will join fashion designers Harald Glööckler and Thomas Rath as a guest of Heimtextil in Frankfurt am Main. And the world's leading trade fair for furnishing textiles is also expecting a number of other VIP guests, including famous designers and architects.

"Preparations are complete; Heimtextil boasts a resplendent range of participants who are now signed up. And, on top of that, we are expecting a whole bunch of celebrity guests who will draw even more attention to the show, " says Olaf Schmidt, Vice President, Textiles & Textile Technology at Messe Frankfurt, with considerable pleasure. On 9 January, DecoTeam will be inviting people to a round-table discussion under the heading of "Lifestyle, Fashion & Interior". Joining them is couturier Thomas Rath, who, amongst other things, is famous for having been one of the judges on the TV show "Germany's next Topmodel".

Harald Glööckler's recent announcement that he, too, will be there brings another fashion designer on board. Together with the bedding company KBT Bettwaren, he will be presenting a collection of bedding at Heimtextil for the first time. Right at the beginning, on 8 January, the first day of the show, Glööckler will be giving a press conference for representatives of the media at Stand E41 in Hall 8.0.

In contrast, Heimtextil is no longer new territory to Dieter Bohlen. Working in conjunction with wallpaper manufacturers Pickhardt + Siebert, he will be launching on the market his second wallpaper collection. He will present it to the public at Heimtextil within the framework of a press conference; on 9 January, 2014 from 1:00 p.m. in Hall 3, Level 'Via', room 'Argument'. Rasch Textil, too, will be banking on the glamour factor on their stand: on the afternoon of 9 January, Barbara Becker will be available on their stand (Hall 3.1 D91/92) to answer questions about their new wallpaper collection. Also in Hall 3.1, Jette Joop will present the new Signeo wall colours at J.W. Ostendorf's stand (E21). She will welcome questions from interested journalists at a discussion session for the press from 12:00 to 1:00 p.m.

Hewlett Packard will be presenting their new printing techniques at Stand E81 in Hall 4.2 and, together with Markus Benesch, have issued an invitation to a press conference: the designer will be available to answer questions and provide information on the new HP products from 3:30 p.m. onwards on 8 January.

Moreover, Heimtextil is also looking forward to hosting the well-known high-profile designers and architects, who will be contributing to the programme of lectures on current and future trends, as well as to the lectures in the "Contract Square" series (Foyer of Halls 5.1 / 6.1).
