The AMI Auto Mobil International 2014 is revving up

From May 31 – June 8, 2014, the automotive world will be fully focused on Leipzig: Over 400 exhibitors, including some of the most renowned German and international car brands, will present their latest models and car-related innovations at the AMI Auto Mobil International – the only international car trade fair in Germany held during the even-numbered years. The 2014 Leipzig Auto Show will have an even greater focus on premieres. What's more, visitors will be able to indulge their fascination for all things on four wheels at this unique hands-on trade fair. In 2014, this unique combination of trade fairs is destined to reach new heights. It will be held in conjunction with the AMITEC – trade fair for maintenance and repair of cars, commercial vehicles and all kinds of large-scale mobile equipment – and the AMICOM – trade fair for mobile entertainment, communication and navigation technology.

The enhanced fair concept offers optimal conditions for the impressive showcasing of all that's new in the automobile industry and for triggering impulse purchases. With a combined floorspace of 60,000 mē, halls 1, 2 and 3 will be transformed into a showroom for world, European and German premieres, while also allowing ample space for the latest model series and innovative developments. The AMI 2012 provided the backdrop for a total of 80 world, European and German premieres, and all German brands, along with the vast majority of international automakers, were also represented at the fair.

Exhibitors from the world of customisation and modding, parts and accessories, along with various providers of car-related services, will present their wares in their own exhibition hall at the AMI 2014. Hall 5 will be a huge draw for visitors seeking to add that special something to their own vehicle, be it of a practical, sporty or extravagant nature.

At the AMI 2014, both the history and future of the automobile will play an equally important role. The new special vintage car exhibition area is geared towards admirers of legendary antique cars and design classics. Hot topics – such as networked vehicles, alternative drive systems and innovative mobility concepts – will not only feature at the various exhibition stands in the halls, but will also be covered during the accompanying congresses, symposia and panel discussions.

The AMI 2014 will also offer an even broader range of hands-on experiences and exciting events as part of a supporting programme that is second to none in terms of sheer quality and quantity. Fascinating special exhibitions, numerous events, various different circuits and a host of other hands-on activities, as well as special theme days and much, much more are designed to get various visitor groups to join in and experience at first hand. One of the hallmarks of the AMI is the fact that it offers Europe's largest selection of circuits for test runs in road traffic. In 2012, visitors to the fair took part in over 17, 000 test drives in 250 different vehicles, including approx. 4, 000 trips in electric vehicles.

Timed to coincide with the AMI, the AMICOM, the leading European trade fair for mobile entertainment, communication and navigation technology, will be held from May 31 – June 8, whereas the AMITEC, trade fair for maintenance and repair of cars, commercial vehicles and all kinds of large-scale mobile equipment, will be held from May 31 – June 4. This trio of trade fairs – a combination that is unrivalled throughout Europe – features different aspects of the automotive industry under the one roof, ensuring that both exhibitors and visitors can benefit from an array of synergies.
