Paperworld: Successful platforms in promising markets

To bring together people and markets around the world is one of the foremost objectives of Messe Frankfurt and Paperworld. The first event of the Paperworld brand to be held outside Germany was 'Pen & Paper', which made its debut in Hong Kong in 1996. Since then, both Messe Frankfurt's portfolio of events and Paperworld have grown enormously.

Today, the Paperworld brand is an important platform in the international market, which offers companies and buyers an optimum business setting in the most important regions of the world market. On the basis of Paperworld Frankfurt as the leading international trade fair for paper, stationery and office supplies, the Paperworld brand has developed into a global network that brings together demand and supply in a precise and purposeful way – and this benefits both exhibitors and visitors.

In 2001, the Hong Kong International Stationery Fair laid the foundation stone for the success of the Paperworld brand outside Germany. It was followed in 2005 by Paperworld China in Shanghai. The Paperworld Middle East is organised by Epoc Messe Frankfurt and takes part since 2011 in Dubai - parallel to Playworld Middle East. Also new in 2011 was Paperworld Russia, which takes part in Moscow.
