Chillventa Rossija 2013: Focus on energy efficiency and ecology

Chillventa Rossija 2013, the International Trade Fair for Refrigeration, Air Conditioning & Heat Pumps for Commercial, Industrial and Building Applications, concentrates on energy efficiency and environmental protection. The unique Russia-wide platform in the Moscow Crocus Expo International Exhibition Center from 5–7 February 2013 focuses on these themes. The industry's big names and refrigeration and air conditioning experts meet at the third Chillventa Rossija to exchange views on the Russian market and the latest trends.

The exhibition and the accompanying congress programme, Chillventa Rossija Congressing, thus tackle two current trends that mark the Russian market for refrigeration, air conditioning and heat pump equipment. This development is also driven by government regulations on energy saving and environmental compatibility. Energy-efficient and environment-compatible refrigeration and air conditioning equipment play a decisive role in achieving the targets set for energy, food security and environmental protection. Because refrigeration applications account for 20 per cent of nationwide energy consumption, energy-optimized equipment contributes to utilizing an enormous energy-saving potential.

Moreover, practically no industry can manage without refrigeration. It is used in all areas of the Russian industry from household systems to aerospace. The most important applications include ensuring a continuous cooling chain for the manufacture, storage, transport and sale of perishable goods. Refrigeration and air conditioning thus also contributes to guaranteeing the country's food security. Last but not least, the industry ensures the production of clean energy with the pioneering heat pump technology. Heat pumps are also gaining more importance in Russia and are shown in the Heat Pump Pavilion at the exhibition.

Gathering of international and Russian industry leaders
Chillventa Rossija and Chillventa Rossija Congressing offer experts the ideal platform for intensive professional exchange at a high level. The concept of the exhibition and congress programme is backed by international and Russian associations, organizations and research and training institutions. This means Chillventa Rossija generates impetus for further development of the industry. With its extensive range of innovative refrigeration products, it is a unique presentation platform for international and Russian key players.

Connecting experts – journalists meet advisory board
Chillventa Rossija plays an outstanding role in connecting experts in the Russian market. As a platform for dialogue between market players, science, research and associations, Chillventa Rossija takes up the guiding principle of Chillventa in Nürnberg: "Connecting Experts".

Well-known Russian and international experts and the organizer NürnbergMesse provide an outlook on Chillventa Rossija 2013 at a press conference in St. Petersburg at the end of November. This will present the exhibition concept and highlights in the exhibition programme. Prof. Dr. rer. tech. Alexander V. Baranenko, Director of the Institute of Refrigeration Research and Biotechnology at the National Research University of IT, Mechanics and Optics in St. Petersburg and Chairman of the Advisory Board, Oleg B. Tsvetkov, Professor at the Institute for Refrigeration Research and IAR member, Dr.-Ing. Rainer Jakobs, coordinator of Chillventa Rossija Congressing, and representatives from Bitzer and Mitsubishi will speak in addition to the event managers from NürnbergMesse, managers from the agricultural industry and a representative from the St. Petersburg city administration authority. The topics at the press conference – the future of the refrigeration market, energy efficiency, environmental security, and the heat pump market and technology – reflect the core themes of Chillventa Rossija 2013.
