Digital business will be the order of the day at Messe Frankfurt

Three leading international specialist conferences and trade fairs to be held in the last three days of October are set to make Messe Frankfurt the centre of the digital world. Some 15,000 trade visitors from all over the world are expected to attend the three events – Voice + IP, Powering the Cloud and World Publishing Expo (IFRA Expo & Conference) – where the focus will be on business communication, cloud computing and the (digital) future of media. Visitors to any of the three conferences and trade fairs will have free access to the other two events, thanks to an agreement between organisers Messe Frankfurt, Angel Business Communications and the World Association of Newspapers and News Publishers (WAN-IFRA).

Voice + IP, an event aimed at hands-on users which is organised by Messe Frankfurt, will be held at its Forum on 30 and 31 October. The panels of high-calibre players at the conference will be focusing on key topics relating to business communication, particularly for SMEs and large companies.

Parallel to this, three conferences – SNW Europe, Datacenter Technologies and Virtualization World – will be held on 30 and 31 October in Messe Frankfurt's Congress Center under the heading "Powering the Cloud" (organised by Angel Business Communications with the assistance of the Storage Networking Industry Association, SNIA Europe). This extensive programme includes over 130 sessions with presentations by prominent industry experts, contributions relating to practical usage, demonstrations of the latest products, and information on the most recent trends and developments. In a series of mini-tracks lasting half a day each, leading analysts and independent industry observers will discuss the critical challenges that influence today's IT strategies and requirements. They provide information from manufacturers, end customers and the SNIA as well as an open discussion group for exchanging opinions and sharing experience. The conferences are geared towards end users, specialist retailers, consulting firms and distributors specialising in IT. Independent association SNIA Europe works to promote data and network standardisation, addressing such relevant topics as cloud storage, data management, converged networks and long-term archiving during the Frankfurt-based event. The organisers also succeeded in getting influential organisations like BITKOM, GSE and SANBoard on board again.

The series of digital business events in Frankfurt will kick off with the World Publishing Expo, organised by the World Association of Newspapers and News Publishers (WAN-IFRA), which will be held in Hall 8 between 29 and 31 October. The leading representatives of the media world – CEOs, IT directors, business development directors, technical directors and editors-in-chief – are looking for new business models and innovative technologies that offer them new creative possibilities. The World Publishing Expo, the largest international exhibition for the newspaper and media industry, presents technologies for publishing on tablet computers, mobile phones, in print form and online. In this way, it is of interest to all media professionals, both from the newspaper and magazine sector and from advertising, PR and corporate publishing. The supporting programme features high-calibre speakers, including representatives from Axel Springer Media Impact, the Financial Times, Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung, the New York Times and the Times of India. Over 8,000 visitors from some 100 countries are expected to attend the exhibition, where more than 250 international exhibitors will be presenting their products, services and ideas.
