fensterbau/frontale india will once again open its doors from 7–9 March 2013 to showcase the latest technologies and innovations on windows, doors and facade to the industry. After the last two successful editions in Delhi and Bangalore, fensterbau/frontale india will now be held at Bombay Convention and Exhibition Centre, in Mumbai – India's biggest city and most important business metropolis. With 3717 trade visitors and 69 exhibitors, the 2012 event exceeded the figures of the premiere in 2011. fensterbau/frontale india 2013 is set to further surpass the 2012 statistics.

As per the latest analysis by GTAI (German Trade and Invest) the growth in the Indian building industry is estimated at some 10 percent a year. The Indian building experts are particularly focusing on sustainability, energy efficiency and green buildings. The use of modern technologies for the building envelope with windows, facades and glazing can reduce energy consumption and thus make a decisive contribution to this issue, and this fact is being appreciated by the industry experts.

fensterbau/frontale india with its combination of exhibition and conference is the ideal dialogue platform for manufacturers, processors, architects, planners and building experts from India, Asia and Europe. The products and services on display include profiles, semi-finished materials, materials, production aids, components and prefabricated elements, hardware, fixing equipment, shading and ventilating equipment, machines, installations and tools, operating systems and equipment, office organization, services, associations, research & development, and technical information.

The internationally renowned German institute ift Rosenheim together with the Indian experts from the International Fenestration Forum IFF has presented a three-day conference programme under the heading of "Envelopes for Green Buildings" parallel to the exhibition since the very first fensterbau/frontale india. In continuation of our past effort, six sessions of the conference once again will bring, international and national experts together to provide an outlook on trends in science and markets and closely examine energy efficiency and quality. The lectures range from best practice examples from all over the world to questions of the specific requirements of the Indian market.

Exhibitors from Germany will again be present in a German Pavilion at fensterbau/frontale india in 2013. The pavilion is organized by the Federal Ministry of Economics and Technology in Germany and the Association of the German Trade Fair Industry AUMA, and supported by the window and facade association Verband Fenster + Fassade VFF.
