The Indian sub-continent ranks as one of the world's most promising growth markets. And processes such as conveying, milling, screening, and mixing are required for the production process in many of these growing industries, such as chemical, pharmaceutical, food, cement and mining industry.

At the Powder & Bulk Solids India, a total 64 exhibitors from 12 nations presented the latest processing technologies in these fields. Besides 47 Indian exhibitors, 17 companies from Singapore, Belgium, Canada, Germany, Italy, Japan, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, the United Kingdom, and the U.S. used the Indian platform to present their products and services. Exhibitors included international key players like FLSmidth, Aerzen, Macawber Beekay, Cargotec, Phoenix Conveyor Belt India, Martin Engineering and ThyssenKrupp. Three out of four exhibitors were very pleased with the high quality of the visitor contacts. 80 % met the right visitor group.

Vijay K. Agarwal of the Indian Institute of Technology in New Delhi, chairman of the conference, noted with satisfaction that the conference has once again been the scene of professional discussions at highest level. 19 high class papers on the latest powder & bulk knowledge were presented during the three-day conference, covering scientific results as well as practical solutions for daily operations. Due to the great demand in 2011, the number of the workshops was doubled. The eight workshops held by international heavyweights such as Larsen & Toubro, Evonik and Jenike & Johanson were very well accepted.
