| Tendence 2012: trend platform for the home and giving ![]() With 2,063 exhibitors from 67 countries and more than 52,000 trade visitors, last year's Tendence occupied the entire western section of Frankfurt Fair and Exhibition Centre with 130,000 square metres of exhibition space (gross) in nine halls. As the international order platform for consumer goods, this year's Tendence will also occupy nine modern exhibition halls with product groups arranged perfectly to meet the needs of trade visitors. Although the Dining segment has not been an independent section since 2009, Tendence is still extremely important for glass, porcelain and ceramic retailers in terms of sales channels because supplementary assortments are gaining in significance in the classic retail trade, especially in the tableware and kitchen segments. No matter whether the focus is on lifestyle or giving, consumers judge the retail trade by the variety of products on offer. Thus, to support the glass, porcelain and ceramic trade, an event offering unequivocal benefits for this group of buyers will be held at Tendence. This year sees the eleventh edition of the 'Talents' promotional programme and there will be a special exhibition in Hall 11.0 designed by Petra Strickstrock / Raumansicht to celebrate this. The 'Talents' programme for young people is of particular benefit to young designers and newcomers to the fields of product, furniture design and jewellery design. At Tendence 2012, the consumer-goods highlight in the second half of the year, young designers have the opportunity to show examples of their work to an international audience of trade visitors, and to test and discuss their ideas, drafts and prototypes with potential manufacturers – a perfect chance to build up a network for their professional future. Design students, university graduates, young designers and design studios are invited to submit their projects, prototypes and initial small product series by 2 April. With 'Next', Tendence helps trend-oriented start-up companies gain a foothold in the market. Young companies with a design background, which have been able to gather initial business experience, have until 4 May to apply for an exhibition stand in the 'Next' promotional area. write your comments about the article :: © 2012 Exhibition News :: home page |
