| China Glass 2012 Organized by the Chinese Ceramic Society and run by the Beijing Zhonggui Exhibition Co., Ltd., the 23rd China International Glass Industrial Technical Exhibition (China Glass 2012) is staged on April 2-5, 2012 at the Shanghai New International Expo Centre. The exhibition area of this show is expanded to 80,500 m. The international influence of China Glass has further grown, thus attracting companies from 28 countries to attend the show, including China, Germany, Italy, US, Belgium, UK, France, Finland, the Netherlands, Switzerland, Sweden, Czech, Austria, Australia, Israel, Japan, Korea, Canada, Russia, India, Indonesia, Singapore, Turkey, Viet Nam, Egypt, Iran, Jordan and Costa Rica. The number of exhibitors this year tops all its previous events. It is the first time that enterprises from Costa Rica and Iran show up at China Glass. As usual, Italy, Germany and the United States have their state pavilions at the exhibition. The number of European companies and their exhibition areas are increased considerably. The Italian pavilion extended its area by 15% compared to 2011 and the German exhibitors group also enlarged their booths. Owing to ever-increasing influence of China Glass, there are numerous newcomers coming from Russia, Viet Num, Turkey, Germany, Italy and US apart from a great many returned exhibitors. More and more transindustrial enterprises attend the exhibition from such fields as petrochemistry, films, screening printing and hardware fittings. Furthermore, some professional visiting groups will come from India, Turkey, Korea and Viet Nam. World-famous glass-related companies will showcase their up-to-date technologies, equipment and products at the exhibition, which covers almost all scopes of glass production, involving diverse upstream and downstream industries, such as glass products and application, instruments and equipment, auto-control and accessory systems, intensive glass-processing machines, grinding tools and materials, special glass and processing machinery, as well as refractory, raw materials and subsidiary materials. Some significant achievements developed during the "Twelfth Five Year Plan" period of China will be the highlights of the show, including key manufacturing technologies and machinery for photovoltaic and photothermal glass and coated glass, solar energy-building integration glass, glass substrates for displays, low-E and multifunctional composite energy-saving coated glass, as well as oxy-fuel firing technology, desulphurization and denitration of glass furnaces and utilization of waste heat. Besides, GPD China 2012 and about twenty technical symposiums are arranged along with the show.
