The annual International Exhibition of goods and services for pets Zoo Russia 2012, organized by the Asti Group Exhibition Company, will start its work on 17th of February in Crocus Expo, Moscow.

The exhibition will feature a variety of pet food, veterinary medicines, vaccines, tools, diagnostic and laboratory equipment, radiosurgical devices, analyzers, multi bandages and blankets, treadmills for dogs, products for professional pet care (animal clippers, grooming tools), exclusive cloth lines, houses, and many more from participating companies from Russia, USA, Italy, Thailand, Germany, Great Britain, Austria, Japan, Canada and other countries.

A busy events programme traditionally attracts the attention of industry professionals. This year within the frames of the exhibition on February 17th a ZooForum will take place, which will be dedicated to the issues relating to the most promising areas of the industry development. The report on this subject will be presented by Anastasija Goncharova, the market research analyst from the Euromonitor International.

Dr. Alex Ploeg, Secretary General of Association of Ornamental Fish International (Netherlands) will hold a seminar on the past, present and future of aquatic industry worldwide.

On the second day, February 18th, Professor of Reproductive Medicine from the University of Tennessee Valeria Tenko will give a lecture for the breeders: "Breeding options in the bitch" for the breeders session". Natalia Kolesnikova, Professor of the department of clinical immunology, allergy and laboratory diagnosis will present the report about modern concepts of immunology while Alexandra Alexandrova, professional psychologist and expert on animal behavior of the international scientific center of treatment and rehabilitation of animals ZOOVET will present to pet owners the report on the relationship between a cat and a dog.

An extensive programme is prepared for the groomers and pet stylists. This is primarily the business seminar: "The other side of grooming: how to earn more money, " as well as seminars: "To shave or not to shave", "Spa services for pets", "Skin and coat types; how to deal with products and owners", "Medical protocol for the groomer" and workshops on grooming of different breeds with the participation of foreign grooming industry experts.
