Texworld USA to be a platform for North American resources

In a post-show attendee survey conducted after the July 2011 edition of Texworld USA, 53% of respondents indicated a desire to see North American exhibitors more fully represented at the show. This number has increased from 48% one season earlier.

This January, it will be possible to source garments through the fiber, yarn, knitting, cut, make and trim to the embellishment stage on the Texworld USA show floor.

Most North American resources will be found in the Lenzing Innovation pavilion. Lenzing fibers are a popular choice with both fashion and sustainability conscious consumers. Though based in Lenzing, Austria, the man made cellulosic giant also produces best selling products such as TENCEL at a facility in Mobile, Alabama.

At Buhler Quality Yarns, Micro Modal slub yarns continue to be popular. They will also be featuring Micro TENCEL for the ultimate in softness. Based in Jefferson, Georgia, Buhler supplies top U.S. knitters.

Novelty yarns are at the heart of the developments to be offered by JH Textiles. By intermingling novelty yarns, they achieve a new unique look for textured jersey and sweater look knits.

Coarse gauge sweater knits in light weights will be the must have items at Laguna Fabrics, ranging from 4 oz to 7 oz. Micro Modal/spandex and Micro TENCEL jersey and rib fabrications will be available in 4 oz tissue weights for Spring.

Mansfield's recent investment in sixty new knitting machines confirms their ongoing dedication to technical innovation. Texworld USA congratulates Mansfield on 15 years in their owned 55, 000 square foot modern building in Vernon, CA.

At Canadian manufacturer Oratex, fabrics are geared for the fashion, activewear and sustainable markets utilizing a wide range of specialty yarns. Ultra-fine gauge fabrics and FR (flame resistant) fabrics will be their focus at Texworld USA.

Fessler USA will also be showcasing some new garment products including polo shirts, fire retardant apparel and other performance apparel.

Texworld USA attendees will have the opportunity to learn how they can finish their designs in New Jersey with printing, rhinestones, beads and more with quick delivery and no minimums via www.customTcouture.com by USA Beading. Custom labels made from self fabric with laser cutting and printing will also be on display.

North American exhibitors emphasize shorter lead times and the ability of retailers and brands to maintain low inventories and act quickly on seasonal open to buy as major competitive advantages.

Increased commitment to sustainability and what some are calling "local goodwill" are other contributing factors. According to a statement by Texworld USA exhibitor Fessler USA, "By sourcing in North America companies help provide jobs for their local economy and reduce the carbon footprint of their products by reducing or eliminating transportation of materials at all stages of manufacturing up and down the supply chain."

Texworld USA is the largest sourcing event in North America for apparel fabric buyers, R&D and product development specialists, designers, merchandisers and overseas sourcing professionals.

The twelfth edition of Texworld USA will take place January 16 - 18, 2012 at the Javits Convention Center in New York City.
