ACREX India 2012 is focusing on increasing expertise in the industry, offering a high-class workshop program along the exhibition. Another highlight of the show will be a live high performance home office: the ambassador of greener and self sustainable buildings of the future. ACREX India 2012 will be presented by the Indian Society of Heating, Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Engineers (ISHRAE) and the NürnbergMesse Group. ACREX India 2012, while providing the right platform for companies to showcase their products, will also be a very educative and informative event with series of technical workshops, seminars and interactive panel discussions. "Expertise is important in the highly specialized sector of air conditioning and refrigeration industries", says Frank Venjakob, Director International Exhibitions of NürnbergMesse, about the elaborated training program. "Concurrent with the exhibition the seminars and workshops are set to open up opportunities for an international knowledge exchange on a highly qualified level of expertise." Conducted by internationally appreciated industry experts, seminars and workshops will provide a special opportunity to the participants to learn, share expertise and hone their skills on the latest trends and topics related to HVAC & R, MEP and allied building services. The program opens on 23rd February with a discussion about the refrigerant phase out, a globally concerning topic which comes more and more into the focus of Indian society. Accompanying technical seminars pick up the issues and present recent advancements in chiller technology, updates on variable refrigerant volume systems or water balancing for the proper commissioning of a HVAC system. The workshop program will already start on 22nd February with sessions on HVAC in healthcare facilities and requirements entailed on the industry by ASHRAE and LEED standards. Workshops on day two and three (February 24 and February 25) will focus on goal setting and performance metrics for high performing buildings and smoke control by pressurization. Sustainable buildings for tomorrow In addition to refrigeration and air conditioning, ACREX India 2012 specializes on allied building services like electrical, lighting, plumbing and water treatment, fire and safety, automation and fenestration showcasing environmental friendly and energy saving products and services. With its engagement "for a greener tomorrow" ACREX India has recognized the signs of time: The International Energy Agency released a publication that estimated existing buildings to be responsible for more than 40 % of the world's total primary energy consumption and for 24 % of global carbon dioxide emissions. After Shunya, the first Net Zero Energy Home presented at ACREX India 2011, the trade show will unveil a high performance home office in Bangalore 2012. This high performance home office will work on the principle that it produces itself on-site energy to offset the energy requirements by following the various greener concepts. Illustrating how office spaces can also be made self sustainable, it is a comprehensive approach towards sustainability with integrated systems for high energy performance, good indoor air quality, using green & environmental friendly materials and waste recycling. ACREX India internationally successful "The positive development of ACREX India proves that sustainability in building technologies is a current concern in the international heating, refrigeration and air conditioning", says Frank Venjakob.
