| NürnbergMesse: new Executive Director Guest Events & Congresses  The management of NürnbergMesse has appointed Jan Gerrit Ebener (40) as new Executive Director Guest Events & Congresses. Ebener with his team is responsible for around one-quarter of the revenue of NürnbergMesse – over 204 million euros last year – and as a Member of the Management Board reports direct to Managing Director Dr. Roland Fleck. The appointment took effect on 1 August 2011.In his position as executive director, Ebener will also continue to promote and expand the outstanding development of the Nürnberg congress venue. The infrastructure for this is impressive, as more than 500 million euros have been invested in the site over the past 15 years, 100 million euros of this in the congress segment alone. The most important customers of the Guest Events & Congresses segment include Spielwarenmesse eG with the Spielwarenmesse International Toy Fair Nürnberg, AFAG with its CONSUMENTA, IENA, Freizeit and HOGA events, Mesago with SPS/IPC/DRIVES and PCIM, Gesellschaft für Handwerksmessen (GHM) with IFH/Intherm, and many well-known congress organizers. NürnbergMesse is one of the 20 largest exhibition companies in the world and among the Top Ten in Europe.
