Visitors to ITMA, that is considered to be "the Olympics" of textile machinery exhibitions, can look forward to knowledge sharing, cross-fertilisation of ideas and more collaborative interactions with some of the world's leading textile researchers and educators.

A total of 46 institutions have applied to take part in the Research and Education (R&E) pavilion, making this a key highlight at the 2011 ITMA exhibition, which will be held at the Fira de Barcelona Gran Via venue in Barcelona, Spain, during September 22-29.

Visitors will also have the opportunity to meet experts at Textiles Intelligence. Members of the editorial team will be available for questions on trade and production trends in the global textile industry, and companies are invited to visit the stand to share information about new products and innovations.

Cematex will be awarding grants to all the participants in the Research and Education pavilion. And a total of 24 abstracts have been approved for presentation at the R&E Speakers Platform. The presentations on process technology and textiles and R&D will be held during September 23-25.
