| UBM Canon launches events in India and Brazil UBM Canon announced medical manufacturing event plans for two fast-growth BRIC markets, India and Brazil, utilizing respectively its long established MEDTEC and Medical Design & Manufacturing (MD&M) brands. In October 19-20, 2011, the MEDTEC India Conference & Exhibition will debut in Mumbai featuring an extensive technical conference and 100 international suppliers. The event will deliver the latest in best practices, materials, and design and manufacturing technology, to the country's $1.9 billion medical device manufacturing sector. In June 2012, the inaugural Medical Design & Manufacturing (MD&M) Brazil will be held in Sao Paulo. This major event will feature a comprehensive conference and 300 global supplies.
