| Acrex India 2011 already almost booked up Companies wanting to exhibit at Acrex India 2011 must be quick off the mark, as only a few spaces are still free in the eight exhibition halls. South Asia's biggest exhibition for the refrigeration and air conditioning industries takes place in the Pragati Maidan Exhibition Centre in New Delhi from 24–26 February 2011. More than 300 companies have already booked their stand at the Indian refrigeration and air conditioning exhibition, including the industry's big names from Asia, Europe and North America, so the exhibition is almost booked up. India rates as one of the most promising growth markets for the refrigeration and air conditioning industry. The display space for the biggest Indian refrigeration and air conditioning exhibition covers over 25,000 square metres. Three months before the event, the eight halls in the Pragati Maidan Exhibition Centre are already almost booked up with more than 300 exhibitors from altogether 15 countries. Besides many companies from Asian countries like China, Korea, Malaysia, Singapore, Taiwan and the United Arab Emirates, many exhibitors come from Europe and North America. The organizer, the Indian Society of Heating, Refrigerating and Air Conditioning Engineers (ISHRAE), expects some 50,000 trade visitors. One new focus at the 12th Acrex India is on promising types of buildings like zero-energy houses and energy-efficient products. Another new feature is the Fire & Safety Pavilion for products and services for fire protection and industrial safety. The years of continuous boom in India's cities are enabling the emerging South Asian country to rise to become one of the world's leading users of green building technologies. Visitors can obtain information about energy efficiency in a special display area and in technical workshops on the design of zero-energy houses and low-emission communities. The partners of the interactive panel discussions at Acrex India 2011 include the Indian Green Building Council and the Bureau of Energy Efficiency. Well-known national and international speakers invite visitors to lectures and panel discussions in halls 7 and 8 of the Pragati Maidan Exhibition Centre during the three days of the exhibition. The programme for the technical workshops covers "green" trends plus topics like the design of extremely efficient and robust buildings and structures in the health sector, the use of geothermal energy, HVAC technologies, and smoke management in large buildings. Another highlight at Acrex India is the premiere of the Fire & Safety Pavilion on fire protection and industrial safety, which is promoted by the Fire & Security Association of India (FSAI). fensterbau/frontale India takes place in the Pragati Maidan Exhibition Centre in New Delhi at the same time as Acrex India in February 2011. This gives exhibitors and visitors the opportunity to obtain extra information on cross-sector issues concerning the two industries. Whereas fensterbau/frontale India is aimed at representatives from the window and facade construction industry, Acrex India covers the whole spectrum of the refrigeration and air conditioning industry, ranging from air conditioning systems, refrigeration equipment, temperature control and ventilation to building technologies and services. The diverse sectors covered by the exhibition include banks and financial service providers, hospitals, automobile and rail industries, public administration, science, hotel and catering industry, warehouses and production facilities, and food processing. Next year's extensive supporting programme again includes the technical workshops on topical issues. In order to reach all possible regions in India, the venue of Acrex India alternates annually between Mumbai and New Delhi.
