Expoprotection: The risk prevention and management show

Expoprotection, the risk prevention and management show, will be taking place from 2 to 5 November 2010 at Paris-Nord Villepinte.

A veritable crossroads of innovation, expertise and know-how in 5 complementary sectors (Safety/Security, Fire Fighting, Health at Work and WorkWear, Industrial and Technological Risks and Natural Risks), this two-yearly show will open up dialogue between exhibitors (manufacturers and service companies, etc.), recommenders and buyers (companies, local authorities and public services) by taking them directly to the core of new risk prevention issues.

With no equivalent in France, Expoprotection is therefore the optimum tool for detecting innovation and trends, selecting suppliers and choosing products and services to prepare for future investment.

A unique opportunity to obtain information, exchange viewpoints and cultivate your professional network.

At a time when the prevention of stress at work is being stepped up, when natural risks and firefighting are constantly in the news and videosurveillance a major subject of discussion, Expoprotection gives priority to the prevention and management of all risks in the 5 sectors covered by the show.

Health & Safety at Work: Torment, stress at work, professional accidents and illnesses – it is up to employers to reduce professional risks. Expoprotection is stepping up its action to develop awareness to the prevention and management of professional risks. With support from new partners such as the OPPBTP (French construction industry prevention organisation), backing from 6 regional health services* and the INRS (National Research and Security Institute) and the continued involvement of historic partners such as Synamap (Prevention and Protection Players Federation), the show offers visitors veritable assistance and support for the protection of employees and long-term continuity of companies.

*Centre, Nord-Picardie, Normandie, Bourgogne, Nord-Est et Ile de France.

WorkWear, image and protective clothing: The professional clothing sector exhibition within Expoprotection is a unique event in Europe. A veritable assembly of the latest on the market and from suppliers, the Workwear section reflects the new trends, products and solutions from over a hundred exhibitors.

Natural Risks: The consequences of the storm Xynthia in France and Europe, the catastrophic figures for the earthquakes in Haiti and Chile should be a warning to decision-makers and populations. Expoprotection is a unique occasion to obtain the information needed to come to grips with natural risks, in a comprehensible manner. The objective of the show is to provide solutions in terms of town and country planning, regulations and to propose protection systems against lightning, floods, mud or landslides, etc.

Fire Fighting: Whether relating to the obligation to have autonomous smoke detectors in all residential accommodation or changes in regulations for public buildings, fire fighting is a concern for everyone. The risk prevention and management show brings together the senior management of companies, local authorities and public services to consider the issue of fire risks, providing them with clear, accurate responses to regulations that are sometimes complex and by enabling them to discover the latest innovations in terms of equipment (automatic optical smoke detectors, foam guns and fire hose cabinets, etc.)

Safety/Security: At a time when the French Home Office has announced a budget of 13 million euros to equip 231 districts or towns, 19 schools and 19 housing estates with 3, 203 video protection cameras to meet emerging trends and all public and private matters of concern, the Expoprotection show is a vital tool to obtain information, detect innovations and make a choice of risk prevention equipment. Safety/Security – one of the reference sectors of the show – proposes all the most innovative technical solutions and services in terms of control and surveillance (cameras, access control units, biometrics, electronic locking devices, etc.)

Industrial Risks: Any hazardous substance used by industry in manufacturing, handling and transport processes, plus the related storage conditions, can be the cause of dangerous phenomena. The reduction of risks at source constitutes a priority avenue for the overall policy to prevent industrial risks. The vocation of the Expoprotection show is to provide elements of response in the field of detection/analysis/measurement/control of industrial risks.
