InnoTrans Virtual Market Place meets with a big response

One month prior to the opening of the international trade fair the InnoTrans Virtual Market Place, at www.innotrans.com, has been redesigned and includes many extended functions. Among the most important changes are the improved search function and an optimised fair planner. As a result, and without having to register, visitors can use the fair planner to collect details about more than 2,200 exhibitors and over 5,600 items on offer. Also of assistance in the planning process are the expanded print functions, by means of which users can add their own notes to their own personal tour of the fair, and can print out plans of the halls and of the grounds. In addition this platform can be used to arrange appointments with the exhibitors prior to the fair. The redesigned contact forms provide for uncomplicated and rapid communication with the exhibitors. The improved protection against spam ensures the secure exchange of information between trade visitors and exhibitors.

As a transport technology portal the Virtual Market Place provides exhibitors, trade visitors and journalists with a comprehensive platform for information and communication. The VMP is the official information platform of the various industry associations: Deutsches Verkehrsforum, VDV, UNIFE, VDB, ZVEI and STUVA. In addition InnoTrans exhibitors can be researched by 14 other national industry associations.

For the second time the Career Point has been integrated in the InnoTrans Virtual Market Place, providing guidance for schoolchildren, students and trainees. To enable this target group to plan their tour of the fair as effectively as possible, all the companies participating in the Career Point are marked in the Virtual Market Place with the Career Point logo, and can be accessed directly from the home page of the industry portal. So far more than 50 companies have registered for the Career Point. Companies can present their career, training and advanced training opportunities here, as well as advertising vacancies, and can make use of this platform all the year round to attract qualified personnel. Currently the online employment exchange is offering positions with such well known firms as Balfour Beatty Rail GmbH, Bombardier Transportation, DB Mobility Logistics AG, Elpro BahnstromAnlagen GmbH, STRABAG Rail Fahrleitungen GmbH and Windhoff Bahn u. Anlagentechnik GmbH, along with many other companies.

With 500,000 visits annually and over three million pages accessed, the Virtual Market Place is one of the most frequently visited links at www.innotrans.com and is a highly effective way for trade visitors and journalists to prepare for their fair.
