Record number of exhibitors at Chillventa 2010

Chillventa 2010, the International Trade Fair for Refrigeration, Air Conditioning, Ventilation and Heat Pumps, starts in a few weeks' time. The event at the Nürnberg exhibition venue from 13–15 October 2010 presents even more exhibitors and will be even more international.

"More companies than in 2008 have confirmed their participation at Chillventa until now. We expect more than 850 firms to exhibit in October. This proves how important our exhibition is for the international refrigeration, air conditioning, ventilation and heat pump sectors. The commitment of these companies speaks for itself. We will continue acqusition until shortly before, however. We want visitors to find the biggest possible range of products, " says a delighted Gabriele Hannwacker, Exhibition Director of Chillventa at NürnbergMesse, commenting on the exhibitor record. The visitors are manufacturers, planners and plant assemblers from refrigeration, air conditioning, heat pumps and ventilation, plus heating and electrical engineering. Chillventa also attracts facility managers, the supply trade, plant operators from industry, commerce and buildings, building services planners and architects.

The exhibition scores with its high internationality: over 65% of the companies come from more than 40 countries throughout the world. Companies from countries such as Croatia, Lithuania, Luxembourg and Norway have been gained for this special-interest exhibition for the first time. The share of new exhibitors is some 18%. "We are very pleased with Chillventa's development. The exhibition is positioned excellently despite the strained economic situation of the past months, " continues Hannwacker.

Chillventa Congressing is also a highlight at Chillventa in 2010. The congress starts the day before the exhibition with an IEA – HPP workshop on Industrial Heat Pumps and the established ASERCOM + EPEE Symposium, which focuses on sustainability and its importance for the industry over the whole cooling chain as far as the use of waste heat for heating buildings.

Besides technical details, the ASERCOM + EPEE Symposium discusses political matters and the general conditions for new technologies both in the European Union and from the viewpoint of national regulations. ZVKKW and ILK jointly organize the symposium on "Air-Air Heat Pumps for Commercial Property" and ESaK starts with a new approach with its "Presentation by Trainees". This gives students the opportunity to report on their studies and theses. There is also a special event on the use of natural refrigerants, which is organized by eurammon and focuses on experiences in North America, Denmark and Brazil.

Chillventa Congressing provides extensive and highly qualified information parallel to the exhibition and covers all segments of refrigeration, air conditioning, ventilation and heat pumps. The visitors also have the opportunity to source extensive information on refrigeration, air conditioning, heat pumps and cleanrooms at forums at the heart of exhibition activity. Various congress blocks deal intensively with the "energy efficiency of refrigeration plants". All the segments and applications of refrigeration are tackled in seven blocks in hall 4A and the Air Conditioning Forum with five blocks takes place in hall 7 during Chillventa.
