| Energy efficiency - key topic in Moscow The newly founded advisory board of Chillventa Rossija met for the first time in Moscow at the end of June 2010. The highly qualified body comprises representatives from the Russian refrigeration and air conditioning sector. The conference orientation was also defined at the first meeting. One of the top issues in focus is energy efficiency. Chillventa Rossija, the International Trade Fair for Refrigeration, Air Conditioning, Ventilation and Heat Pumps, celebrates its premiere in the Crocus Expo International Exhibition Center, Moscow, from 1-3 March 2011. The first meeting took place in Moscow on 22 June 2010 chaired by Alexander V. Baranenko, Professor, Rector of the St. Petersburg State University of Refrigeration and Food Engineering and President of the International Academy of Refrigeration (IAR). The advisory board comprises the following members: The refrigeration segment is chaired by Dr. Sci. Igor M. Kalnin, Professor, Member of the International Refrigeration Academy (IAR) and chairholder at the Moscow State University of Environmental Engineering. Other members of the board's refrigeration group are George A. Belozerov, Director of the State Research Institute for the Refrigeration Industry (VNIIHI, State Scientific Research Institute, Refrigeration Research Institute) and Member of the International Refrigeration Academy (IAR), Dr. Sci. Oleg M. Tagantsev, Director General of the OOO VNIICHOLODMASH HOLDING (Scientific Research Institute for Refrigeration Machinery), Vladimir I. Smyslov, Executive Director of the Association Holod-Byt - International Academy of Refrigeration (IAR). The air conditioning segment is chaired by Dr. Sci. Alexander A. Malyshev, Professor, Prorector for Science and Innovation at the St. Petersburg State University of Refrigeration and Food Engineering and Director General of the International Refrigeration Academy (IAR). Also a member of the air conditioning segment is Viktor V. Shishov, Member of the International Refrigeration Academy (IAR) and Professor of the Chair of Refrigeration and Air Conditioning at the Bauman Moscow State Technical University. The first action of the newly created advisory board was to set the key topics for the Chillventa Rossija 2011 Conference. Next year's conference will focus on: * Energy-efficient plants and energy-saving technical solutions for refrigeration and air conditioning. * Natural and new refrigerants: today and in the future. Improvement of the energy efficiency of industrial plants using natural refrigerants. * Assurance of environmental protection: operational reliability and safety of refrigeration and air conditioning plants. Noise reduction of industrial plants. * Heat pumps worldwide and in Russia.
