| 100 years of Ziehl-Abegg What is probably the industry's biggest celebration of the year will take place in mid June at the headquarters of the worldwide fan and drive manufacturer Ziehl-Abegg AG in Künzelsau: the company's 100th birthday is to be celebrated there with several thousand employees and guests. The present Ziehl-Abegg AG goes back to 1910, when Emil Ziehl founded Ziehl-Abegg Elektrizitätsgesellschaft in Berlin. After the 2nd World War, the company was rebuilt by the brothers Günther and Heinz Ziehl at the new location in Künzelsau in 1949, and the success story of the "new" Ziehl-Abegg AG started with the development of the external rotor motor. In addition to building new production locations in Germany, Ziehl-Abegg started setting up foreign affiliates and subsidiaries at the beginning of the 70s (initially in Sweden, England and Italy) and also expanded through strategic acquisitions in Germany and abroad. Today, the Ziehl-Abegg Group has 2,400 employees worldwide and owns production facilities in Germany, France, Hungary, China and the USA and 25 subsidiaries on all continents. The motto of "100 years movement by perfection" created for the company's centenary is supported by marketing activities to present its highly energy-efficient fans in the "Royal League". write your comments about the article :: © 2010 Exhibition News :: home page |
