ISM will bring confectionery industry together for the 41st time

The International Sweets and Biscuits Fair (ISM) will open its doors for the 41st time at the beginning of 2011. For four days, from 30th January to 2nd February, manufacturers and importers from around the globe will present an almost comprehensive overview of the international range of confectionery and snack items. With around 1,500 suppliers, ISM is far and away the largest and most important trading platform for the international confectionery industry. The first registrations have already been received and the preparations for another successful ISM are already in full swing. Interested companies that have not yet registered still have until 28th May 2010 to take advantage of the early bird discount.

ISM gets good marks from exhibitors and visitors. This is made clear, for example, by a glance at the responses to the exhibitor and visitor surveys carried out by an independent market research company as part of the previous ISM.

The responses show that many exhibitors had already decided to participate in the next ISM. Almost 80 per cent of those asked said that they intended to exhibit at ISM again in 2011. And 90 per cent of the companies would recommend participation in ISM to a friendly company.

The New Product Showcase is an important attraction for both exhibitors and visitors at ISM. It presents new products from ISM exhibitors in an attractive setting in the centre of the Boulevard - a central hub of the ISM. Journalists pick out the best three products from the showcase to be specially presented, which means that they can attract even more attention.

ISM offers a top-class meeting point for decision-makers from the international confectionery industry in the shape of the CEO Lunch, the exclusive business talk on the Monday of the trade fair.

ISM is the leading global fair for the trade in confectionery and snack items. With approximately 1,500 suppliers from around 70 countries, ISM presents a comprehensive range of confectionery and snack items. The trade fair provides a nearly complete overview of the following product groups: chocolate, sugar confectionery, biscuits, snack products, ice cream and raw pastes. Only end products intended exclusively for retail sale are presented.

The fair will occupy 110,000 m² of gross exhibition space at the Cologne exhibition centre.
