| Biggest motoring fair in Central Europe are underway Within a couple of weeks the Brno exhibition centre will be full of products that will gladden both experts and the wide community of fans of the motoring sport. This year the International Trade Fair of Commercial Vehicles Autotec has exceptionally coupled with the Fair of Passenger Cars Autosalon Brno; so between 5 and 10 June the visitors will get a grasp of the novelties and of what the entire branch has to offer. Not only commercial and passenger cars will be staged at the exhibition centre, but also service and garage technology, parts, accessories and naturally an interesting accompanying programme. The Autotec is unrivalled in Central Europe and on a regular basis is listed in the prestigious calendar of the International Association of Automobile Manufacturers O.I.C.A. This year the O.I.C.A. calendar listed only four specialised exhibitions of commercial vehicles from the whole world and Autotec Brno is one of them. It gives evidence of the strength of the automobile industry in Central Europe and particularly of the skills and quality of local manufacturers of commercial vehicles. In spite of the deep recession in this segment especially the Czech manufacturers are making presentations and they want to make comparisons with competition across the world. The branch of service and garage technology and accessories deserves special attention; it is plentifully represented and will show a number of brands of high reputation. Considering the economic situation the organisers together with the key associations, the Automobile Industry Association and the Car Importers Association, decided to exceptionally enlarge this year's event and to add the category of passenger cars. The largest manufacturers of passenger cars operating on the Czech market supported the fair in this segment and will stage a number of novelties and newcomers.
